THE BRIEF | Make Me Modern

This project was a complete fit out of an existing salon. Dated and worn, the space was begging to be totally gutted, reconfigured and given a beautiful modern look.

Coming from the harsh, electric purple, wood-grain with gold and silver accents, this space was begging to be recreated. Working closely with our client on the colour selection and inclusions, our goal was to choose a palette that was light, fresh, warming yet romantic.

The client wanted their space to be welcoming for everyone to enjoy, to feel relaxed and warming.The whole space was gutted and stripped back making way for the new interior. The infrastructure was rebuilt – new electrical, plumbing and soundproofing throughout. Once the finishes started being applied to the walls, like an artist’s canvas coming to life, you could feel the space became rejuvenated and modern.

The completed project is everything and more. The reconfiguration included a reception and waiting area, three beautiful treatment rooms, a staff kitchen, toilet and a combined laundry and storeroom.

It has provided a beautiful space to work in and be part of. You can enjoy the tranquility of each room during treatments – a very refreshing renovation.
